This challenging 1-day (8 hrs) firearms training course focuses on engaging threats using cover while minimizing self as a target. Furthermore, the concept of moving off the line-of-force and moving into cover while engaging a threat will be instructed.
This firearms training course will be presented in two parts: (1) familiarize students on various pistol shooting positions. Students will be given concepts of changing levels, stabilizing the shooting platform and assuming the prone position for maximum stability. (2) students will engage various static targets in a live-fire session while using cover incorporating various shooting positions discussed thus far. The student must be conditioned to engage threats from cover while continuously changing shooting positions and locations of exposure.
