INTRODUCTION TO TACTICAL CARBINE (AR-15)
This is an entry-level course for rifle/AR-15 carbine shooters. This class is geared for those who have not had any formal carbine instruction. It is structured to train the student in minor caliber, optically unaided rifle/carbine skills and techniques. The program is designed to target the individual who may be deploying this weapon system for personal defense.
Students will learn about one of the most popular weapon systems that law enforcement agencies across the country are incorporating into their arsenal.
Students will learn: essential law pertaining to AR (California), a brief history, nomenclature, mechanical operation, care & cleaning, preventive maintenance, safety, stance, application of two points sling, manipulations, safe load and unload techniques, zeroing iron sights, sight alignment, and trigger control, and shooting positions & stable platforms.
