The course consists of instruction in classroom, as well as hands-on situational role playing. Students
will be taught about the history of workplace violence throughout the world, and will be given
Department of Homeland Security response protocol training.
Emphasis on identifying problems prior to them being presented, evacuation of employees and how to
deal with the law enforcement response. This is a 16-hour course designed to provide basic
emergency response principles and practice for un-armed and armed security guards.
This class utilizes a single instructor for lecture and involves role playing in the Covered 6 3200
square foot training facility with multiple instructors. All materials are supplied. There is no written
final exam and upon successful completion a certificate will be issued to the student.
